Since the early 1930s he was the representative of Nina Ricci's perfumes and in 1942, in the height of the Second World War, he decided to open a perfumery for his wife in Rome. It became a family tradition: Massimo's father, Benito, did the same for his wife in Naples and also the brother of Massimo, who fell in love with a Tuscan woman, opened a perfumery for his wife.
